Key Role
This role is a key contributor to delivering critical mass adoption for a specific IMS or data recipient. The incumbent is responsible for increasing adoption of GS1 Canada standards and Industry Managed Services (IMS) by outbound calls, collaborating with the Industry Relations team to support specific data recipients or Service Leads to actively engage and support non-subscribers through the complete IMS implementation. This position is a key contributor to delivering data integrity by enabling data providers to implement the IMS required by their trading partners. Key metrics for this role may include: Cost recovery target, Data provider engagement targets, Service adoption targets, Retention targets, Campaign effectiveness, CRM Updates.
Duties and Responsibilities

Support monthly new supplier listing process for Data Recipients

 

Data Recipient # 1 (75%)

 

  • Analysis of round listings
  • Supporting vendors through GS1 processes
    • New subscriptions to GS1 and/or IMS (Platform agreement)
    • Prefix licensing / authorization
    • Data loading / ECCnet support
    • Publication
    • Content capture / OSR support
    • Follow up with vendors for compliance
  • Status meeting with Retailer Key contact to escalate non-responsive vendors
  • Reporting and reconciliation of round results to Data Recipient and key Broker/Distributor(s)
  • Manages dedicated mailbox for Data Recipient program
  • Participate in annual program reviews
  • Reviewing and creating documentation to be included in the Data Recipient supplier listing package
  • Create/update documentation to support suppliers in complying with Trading Partner requirements
  • Review and recommend process improvements to the support program
  • Work with internal teams to implement changes to analysis automation as needed
  • Industry events support
    • CHFA West – Annual 4-day Trade Show and Conference (Vancouver – Feb)
    • Québec - Bi-annual 2-day Trade Show – currently no conference (Montreal – TBC)
    • East – Annual 4-day Trade Show and Conference (Toronto - Sept)
    • Other Trade Shows as deemed relevant
  • Act as key contact for Data Recipient to support vendor IMS engagement, content GAP analysis
  • Maintain current SOP documentation for GS1 processes

 

Data Recipient # 2 / Other Support (25%)

 

  • Supporting vendors through GS1 processes
    • New subscriptions to GS1 and/or IMS (Platform agreement)
    • Prefix licensing / authorization
    • Data loading / ECCnet support
    • Publication
    • Content capture / OSR support
    • Follow up with vendors for compliance
  • Status meeting with Retailer Key contact to escalate non-responsive vendors
  • Review and recommend process improvements to the support program
  • Act as key contact for Data Recipient to support vendor IMS engagement
  • Maintain current SOP documentation for GS1 processes

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

 

  • Completion of recognized College Diploma in a related field (i.e. Business, Retail Commerce, Supply Chain Management);
  • A minimum of 2-3 year’s work experience, preferably in a customer service and/administrative capacity within the supply chain industry;
  • Knowledge of GS1 Canada, Barcoding Standards, GTIN Allocation Rules, and ECCnet Registry an asset;
  • Demonstrated proven high level of proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint;
  • Excellent communication and persuasive skills to interact with internal peers, and external stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to set priorities and manage many projects simultaneously;
  • Strong preference given to candidates with Bilingual (French/English) language skills.
  • Creative problem solver with business acumen and an aptitude for process management;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting a consistent, positive and approachable manner;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit suited for past-paced, results-based environment, requiring flexibility to ever-changing needs.
