 As part of a mid-sized, cross-functional Human Resources team, this position will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of a high impact HR organization that supports employees at all levels. Providing a well-balanced support to HR Programs, Payroll administration, Talent Acquisition and HR Analytics. 

Please note; this will be a 6 month contract role. Dependent on business needs; there may be opportunity for this to be a longer term or permanent role in the future.

What you’ll do:

Focus on Human Resources Support

  • Coordinate and/or facilitate new employee on-boarding activities, processes and documents.
  • Act as an administrator to the HR information system (HRIS) and provide reports to managers etc. as needed or scheduled
  • Support adherence of HR policies and programs while making recommendations for changes when required.
  • Benefits administration support through working with 3rd party vendors and  finance team to ensure all payroll and benefits related activities (data collection, entry, validation, payment) are completed on time and to the highest accuracy level.
  • Support the HR team in all payroll and benefits related activities.
  • Prepare, process, track, maintain, archive confidential HR related records and documents (paper and electronic).
  • Support the HR Business Partners through ad hoc requests specific to Performance Management, Promotions and Transitions, Leave of Absences, Resourcing and Organizational Design.

Emphasis on Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Maintain Job descriptions through internal tracking and approval processes
  • Assist with job postings/advertising, pre-screening of candidates, scheduling and/or participating in interviews. 
  • Prepare offer letters and contracts and ensure all templates are up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure correctness of all formats of organizational chart
  • Assist in preparation of new employee onboarding activities and documents 

Passion for Human Resource Project Implementation and Support

  • ​Provide support and participate in special HR programs/project planning and execution.  
  • Support creation of project plans and manage tasks against deliverables.  

 

 What you'll bring:

  • 4-6 years of human resources experience
  • Post-secondary education
  • Hands on experience using Applicant Tracking systems, HRIS or resource management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated agility to succeed in a high change, fast paced environment, juggling multiple time sensitive priorities
  • Superior listening skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
  • Collaboration skills and curiosity
  • Aptitude to take initiative with little to no supervision.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships at all levels within an organization.
