The team at GS1 Canada is looking for an experienced, tech savvy, Bilingual IT Operations Analyst. If you enjoy working in a highly collaborative, energetic, fast-paced yet, fun environment, then this is the role for you! You will diligently work with the IT Ops team to support all aspects of systems administration in a rapidly growing, multi-site, 250+ user environment, including desktop/laptop users, LAN / WAN infrastructure and related back-office servers & technology products. You will also manage setup and maintenance of network hardware/software servers, desktops, communications, and the analysis/implementation of various infrastructure improvement projects. We’re always looking for ways to improve, so you will be asked to keep your innovative hat on and share your unique ideas on how we can constantly improve our processes!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure, deploy and support desktop PC’s, laptops, MACs, servers and LAN/WAN hardware including O/S and 3rd level product upgrades as required
  • Document and maintain records of all technology assets, procedures, and processes for the GS1 Canada technology infrastructure
  • Provide1st level help desk support for desktop users, locally and remote.
  • Administer GS1 Canadas Office365 services – Email, Skype For Business, MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business
  • Ensures day-to-day Network requirements are met, including but not limited to user account management, internet access, LAN, WAN, VPN and security management
  • Support day-to-day hardware/software requirements for networks, servers, desktops, laptops and office applications
  • Administer backup and restore systems ensuring successful completion of all backup jobs
  • Plan and implement approved technology/infrastructure improvement projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
  • MCSE, CCNA or equivalent certification a plus
  • 2-3 years experience as an Analyst or equivalent with hands-on technical experience in:
    • Windows, MAC OS, Active Directory, DHCP, DHCP, DNS, Office 365
    • Networking -TCP/IP
  • Proven knowledge of communication protocols and desktop technologies
  • Must be Bilingual (English and French)
  • High level of problem-solving skills with proven ability to juggle multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability for continuous learning and self-education
  • Commitment and adherence to customer service excellence
